Hi everyone, It's been awhile.
First to all the school employee's, welcome back to a new school year. May it be a good one for the students and teachers and the new principal.
Last Thursday I had a full day of tests. I was at the clinic from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The good news of all of those tests that day is the result of my bone marrow biopsy. The results showed no Leukemia in my blood. Praise God!
Some other results were not as good. My Cytomegalovirus has gotten worse and I can physically feel that throughout my body. I just don't feel as well ,nor do I have as much energy. Every morning I now wake up feeling like I have a bad case of the flu. My head feels fine, it's just the body aches. I take a couple pain pills before getting up and having my coffee, and by the time I'm done with it I'm feeling way better. It's mostly just a first thing in the morning thing, other than being tired a lot.
Thursday my white blood cell count was higher than what they like to see so there was some concern about what may have been causing that. I went back to the clinic yesterday and my white count was back down. Again praise God!
Over the weekend my youngest son Justin and his family came and spent Sat. and Sun. with us. It was a real blessing because I got to see two of my four grandchildren. I hadn't seen them for like six weeks.
All in all things are going very well for me. I can honestly say with all things considered that I feel pretty good most of the time. Your continued prayers are one of the most important things that you all can do for me. I know I repeat this all the time, but this is a long time deal. I see the evidence of this every week at the clinic. Graft vs Host can strike anytime in the next three years.and some of it gets really ugly. I have a strong faith and do not believe that's a road God has planned for me to walk.Your prayers are being answered daily because things really are going well. I thank you for every prayer and every thought that you send my way.
Yesterday the Doctor said I need to gain weight so in your prayers please pray for my ability to eat. Pray for my taste buds to at least slowly improve. I'm eating, but just about everything tastes like, how do I put this?
