Third graders enjoy Valentine’s Day outside
Each year on Valentine’s Day, Pathfinder Elementary School teacher Cheryl Heyboer (in the dark coat, top row left) has a special treat for her third grade students.
Heyboer takes her class to Branstrom Park in Fremont for a sledding party.
Again this year, Heyboer’s students spent the afternoon of Feb. 14 sliding down the hills, enjoying the cold winter weather, and warming up in the lodge by the fire with hot cocoa and treats.
The difference this year is that it will be the last for the teacher. After 30 years of service to Fremont students, Heyboer is retiring at the end of this school year.
