Issue III January/February 2008
Career Preparation
• Career Decisions
Unsure of what your future holds for you?
Undecided about what kind of job you want?
Having trouble picking a college major?
If you can answer yes to any of these questions, you should see the counseling office for more information.
We can assist you with Career Scope or Career Cruising. You can review your career scope results that you may have taken as a freshman or you can retake this 60-minute assessment. Career Cruising is another option that will help you find a direction.
College Preparation
• College Applications
Applications for most Michigan colleges and universities are available in the Counseling Office. Completed applications, along with application fee, should be turned into Ms. Rynberg, Counseling Office Secretary. A transcript will be attached and the packet will be given to your counselor. The high school counselor portion will be completed and then mailed. You may also apply on-line. There will usually be a page that you must print out and bring to the CO. so that your transcript may be sent. It is not too early to start the application process.
• College Athletics
NCAA guide for college bound Athletes can now be found at www.ncaaclearinghouse.net. Student-athletes should click on “Prospective Student-Athlete” which will link the student to the necessary information.
