The Fremont High School varsity girls soccer team defeated Grant by 8-0 on Monday, April 14.

Kailey Hindes scored three goals and added an assist. Teighlor Bodrie grabbed two goals and an assist, while Katie Brookhouse added a goal. Taylor Moon also had an assist and a goal as did Sydney Hindes. Ashley Moon added four assists for the team, which tied the school record. Fremont out shot Grant by 12-1. Kaitlyn VanBoven made a nice save in net for the Packers.

Playing against Fruitport on Wednesday, April 16, Fremont lost with a final score of 4-0. The Packers were out shot by 14-5.

“Although we didn’t play our best game technically or tactically, the girls played with a lot of heart and battled with 11 players for 80 minutes,” said Fremont Coach Steve Vissia. Ashley Moon, Sydney Hindes and Kaitlin Huissen played especially well according to their coach.

On Thursday, April 17, Fremont lost the battle with Cedar Springs, 5-1. Fremont was out shot by 22-2. Taylor Moon scored the lone Fremont goal on a crossed ball by Kailey Hindes. The Packers were dominated from the beginning until the end whistle. Kaitlyn VanBoven made 17 saves.
