At the Mohawk Relays on Saturday, April 19 at Morley Stanwood, the Newaygo boys placed first in division 1. Grant finished in fifth place and Fremont took sixth place.

Newaygo won the 400m relay in 45.09 and the 800m relay in 1:35.27. The Lions also placed second in the high jump relay, the discus relay, shuttle hurdles and sprint medley. The Lions placed third in the long jump relay, pole vault, distance medley and 1600m relay.

Grant and Fremont tied for first place in the pole vault at 21’ 6”. Grant also placed first in the long jump relay and the 3200 team run, and Fremont won the 3200m relay in 8:24.90.

Grant also placed second in the Mohawk Medley and placed third in the high jump relay. Fremont also placed third in the 3200 team run and the Mohawk Medley.

In the girls division, Grant placed second, Fremont placed third and Newaygo placed eighth.

Fremont won the 3200 team run in 24:50.0, the distance medley in 14:00.0 and the 3200m relay in 10:23.00. The Packers also placed second in the 800m relay and third in the shuttle hurdles.
