Fremont raced out to a big lead early, 25-9, behind sophomore Reed Luchies’ four first quarter three-pointers. Newaygo showed some life late in the fist half when they made four triples to cut into the Packers’ large lead. Fremont then outscored the Lions 24-0 in the fourth quarter for a running clock the rest of the way. Jeremy Gerth hit five treys toward his game-high 20 points and Luchies also finished with five from long range towards his season-best 18 points. Sean Hendon added 17 points and seven steals and Cody Tubergen handed out eight assists and swiped five steals for the Packers.
