Summer 2008

 

The Counseling Office is closed for the Summer!

If you need to schedule an appointment please call 924-5300 before August 13th.
The High School Office will be open from 7am – 3:30pm all summer, excluding holidays & vacations.
After that date please call Ms. Rynberg, Counseling Office secretary, at 924-7301.

The Counseling Office will be open on Wednesday, August 13th & Thursday August 14th
for ONLY Seniors & Juniors that have scheduling conflicts
(failed a class, or were sent a letter to make an appointment).

The Counseling Office re-opens full-time on Monday, August 18th.
Summer schedule is Monday – Thursday, August 19th-22nd & August 25th-28th.
We will be open from approximately 8am to noon and between 1pm to 3:30pm.
The counselor for Sophomores & Seniors is Ms. Cook.
The counselor for Freshman & Juniors is Ms. Rusco.

New Students: To enroll, call the High School Office at (231) 924-5300 to make an appointment. Please allow approximately one full hour for the enrollment process. Documents required at time of enrollment are: 1) original sealed student’s birth certificated, 2) up-to-date immunization records, 3) social security card/number, 4) guardianship papers (if student is not living with a parent), 5) two proofs of residency in the FPS school district (utility bill, rental agreement, drivers license, etc…), and 6) possibly papers from the previous school showing classes taken, grades, etc…

If you are taking any MCC Dual Enrollment Classes this coming school year, you must:

  1. Apply for admissions to MCC on-line at www.muskegoncc.edu
  2. Complete an MCC Dual Enrollment Application, can print off on MCC web site or pick up at FHS
  3. Complete a FHS Dual Enrollment Application, can pick up at FHS
This all must be completed by Friday, September 5th, 2008 in order to continue with the class.

School Begins on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008 & Ends on Friday, June 6th, 2009.
Christmas break is Monday, December 22nd, 2008 through Friday, January 2nd. 2009.
Easter Break is Friday, April 3rd, and Monday, April 6th through Friday, April 10th, 2009.

SUMMER VOLUNTEERS needed for the following events & can be used towards your community service hours:

The Fremont Chamber of Commerce is looking for volunteers for the National Baby Food Festival. Volunteer applications are in the office. Can be used for community service hours.

To help at the West Michigan Triathlons (Kids & Adults) on August 9th. Kids are in the AM & Adult are in the PM. Contact Officer Hendrie if interested.
