With some help from some mechanized equipment, partners in the construction of a
new tennis court pavilion in Fremont broke ground for the new facility last week.

Work starts on new tennis pavilion
With community donations and volunteer labor, the Fremont Tennis Association/YES is building a new tennis pavilion at the tennis facility in Fremont.
The 40 by 16 foot structure will offer shade and shelter at the courts, plus storage area for tennis-related equipment at the new courts near Fremont Middle School.
Project coordinator Dean Morehouse noted that, along with financial donations, the project is also receiving help from the contractors doing the work, who are donating all or parts of their work.
The project’s list of contributors includes:
