Recommendations

Jody Byland, Bob Cassiday, Gail Cooper, Dianna Dakin, Cheryl Falkowski, Jim Featherstone, Dave Greiner, Jim Hieftje, Matt Hendrie, Ken Johnston, John Kingsnorth, Janet Knysz and John Krim

Moving the District into the 21st Century for the purpose of enabling students with 21st Century skills, the Technology Committee recommends the following:

  1. Core Technology skills and skill building should compress to the lowest grade level possible
  1. The district should move toward being wireless
  1. The district should move toward being paperless
  1. School curriculum and instruction and software should be accessible 24/7
  1. Movement in the direction of virtual schooling should be made
  1. “Classrooms of the future” should be developed in each building with the goal of all classrooms being classrooms of the future
  1. Skills that need to be included in the 21st learning set include:
  1. One-to-one computing for all students is an eventual goal
