Present:  Ryan Ergang, Scott Sherman, Rick Knysz, Jeff Kinzbach, Peggy Maat, Ed Wosinski, Bob Atkins, Jim Breinling, Cathy Obits, Jane Drake, Mick Barney, Bob McGraw, Dave Byrne, Kevin Hobbs, Candee Parkhurst

  1. Welcome/introductions
  1. Dave Byrne, Co-Chair, presented an overview of the process.
  1. Architects Bob McGraw and Rob Atkins, Kingscott, presented site evaluations of three of the four sites—fair grounds, Middle School site, and NCRESA. The fourth site is a replication of the last bond proposal which he will bring next week.
  1. They presented concepts of locations of a high school on the fairground property. The Middle School, NCRESA and current site will, again, be presented at the next meeting.
  1. The process/timeframe will be adjusted because of the quantity and quality of the work needed to get done. Dave, again, reviewed the process of presenting our options and the input from the community at a later date--perhaps starting as soon as June but certainly in September.
  1. The Q & A session took place where comments were made by Jeff Kinzbach indicating Gerber’s strong support for a new/revamped high school. The Fairground Board was mentioned as having a need to be contacted. Jim Breinling said he would contact the Fairground Board. Jim Breinling also reminded us that the status and use of the current building is an issue that needs to be discussed. Dave then mentioned the quality of the building is not a “Taj Mahal” but comparable to the competition. Also the Tamarac “if you build it, they will come” concept was discussed.
