To be a Child’s Favorite

Each of us can look back at our school years and quickly call to mind our “favorite” teachers. Despite different backgrounds, and schools, and the varied points in history when they intersected our lives, these teachers have something in common: they made learning fun, and us feel special.

If you have lived in the Fremont area for very long, and went to our schools, then it’s likely some of your favorite teachers are today influencing your children or grandchildren. That’s wonderful. It will be one more thing you have in common.

If you’ve live here for awhile, you know that Fremont has a history of educational excellence, a history of solid work in the classroom. And for that we owe much to the quality and commitment of our teachers.

This year we are welcoming 14 new people into our classrooms, offices, and building services. For some, it is the first step of their professional journey. For others, a next step.

Each of our new teachers has a chance to share that part of themselves that can turn their classroom into a learning adventure. Each has a chance to be a child’s favorite.

Please join me in making them feel welcome to Fremont Public Schools and the Fremont community.
